Everyone knows that the New York Jets have a very talented team that many believe will compete for a playoff spot and even have a shot of wining the AFC East. The team will be led by veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers and there is no reason to believe they won’t be good.
With that said, the key word or Roders is “veteran” and that has started to show in the previous recent years. The end to his career in Green Bay was not ideal and the Packers decided to move on from him. With the Jets he only lasted a few seconds on the field during his debut season in New York and people have noticed.
In a recent episode of the Green Light Podcast, hosts Chris Long and Macon Gunter spoke about the team and the former lineman referred to the team as one that is injury prone with many players that tend to miss games due to that, including the quarterback.
The hard words against the team
While it was a joke, Chris Long’s words have been felt as he talked about the team’s situation as it was the song “I Fall To Pieces,” because “this team can’t stay healthy. Yeah, they have a banner offseason making,” he said.
“They basically went to the trauma Ward at a hospital and they were like – give me Tyron Smith, give me you know Mike Willams, give me the quarterback who blew his Achilles out the first week last year,” he added and it was somewhat true.
While the Jets are loaded with talent, there is no secret that their players can be on the injury list for some time and only time will tell if they last on the field to give hope to a fan base that has been hit badly in the last decade.
