Jalen Rose’s Daughter Goes Off on Club 520: Her Bold Response to Sexist Remarks About Angel Reese Is Setting Social Media on Fire – Which Side is Correct?
Mariah Rose mercilessly ripped out Charleston White for his remarks about Reese and the WNBA.
Charleston White continues to come under fire for his controversial comments about Angel Reese. In a recent video, Mariah Rose, daughter of former Indiana Pacers star Jalen Rose, lashed out at White and the entire cast of the Club 520 Podcast for their sexist comments about the Chicago Sky forward.
White’s comments on the Club 520 Podcast, hosted by Jeff Teague, did not go unnoticed. In his guest appearance, the influencer declared, “I’m with Shaq. Dunk in some panties with no bra on. That’s how you sell tickets. We need an OnlyFans WNBA, then I’ll tune in.”
White echoed Shaquille O’Neal’s unfortunate comments as a guest on Reese’s podcast “Unapologetically Angel.” Following White’s statements, Mariah Rose could not remain silent, blasting the influencer and Teague in an angry video on her X (formerly Twitter) account.
Mariah Rose destroys Teague and White
No one was safe from Rose’s fury. “The video opened up with them saying, ‘Angel Reese doesn’t want to be a basketball player. She needs to sell her c**chie and she needs to be OF (OnlyFans),'” Rose recalled, clearly upset.
Jalen Rose’s daughter immediately recalled that Teague and company only held back because of their desire to deal with the WNBA. “Angel Reese is 22 years old. We know her from her college career. In that same conversation they were like, ‘All right, we need to chill because we want to go to the WNBA All-Star weekend.'”
Mariah was enraged by the sexism that White and Teague displayed in their statements. “Are you joking? Why would any black man feel comfortable speaking or joking about Angel Reese like that? Why is that funny?”
The Angel Reese revolution
The former LSU Tiger arrived last season to revolutionize the WNBA. Along with Caitlin Clark and Cameron Brink, Reese raised the league’s audience levels to unprecedented heights.
Reese brought the popularity she gained in college basketball to the professional courts with juicy endorsements that far exceed her salary with the Sky. However, that hasn’t been enough for some critics and influencers, who still can’t see past their gender biases.
Angel Reese forgets her off-court troubles by putting humor in her new relationship with Kahleah Copper
Copper and Reese will be on the same team in Napheesa Collier’s Unrivaled League
Angel Reese is preparing for her Unrivaled League debut on January 17 with Kahleah Copper with some team bonding by jokingly mocking her 30-year-old colleague by calling her a grandma.
The Chicago Sky‘s Reese, at the age of 22, is considerably younger than Copper but especially in the world of sports where an athlete typically tends to physically decline after passing the age 30 mark.
And that’s something the forward played into by mocking Copper ahead of their pair up in Napheesa Collier’s Unrivaled League, the basketball series that sees two teams of three players compete against each other.
“Grandma you can always come… nvm we got 10 weeks to chat,” Reese wrote to X.com, formerly Twitter, shortly after the Phoenix Mercury hinted she is Copper‘s grand baby on the social media website.
“Front runners for unrivaled comedic duo already,” the Mercury, who Copper plays for, posted to X.com, with a couple of videos in the comments of the two women joking around in the gym and before a green screen.
After completing her Unrivaled League, Reese will be back in action against the Indiana Fever on May 17 to kick off the 2025 WNBA season. She will look to improve the Sky‘s .325 record from 2024.
Why did Angel Reese delete her Instagram account?
So despite deleting her Instagram account suddenly, it seems as though Reese is doing okay and she’s actually continuing to live and enjoy her life away from the Meta-owned app as she prepares for her latest basketball journey.
It’s thought the 22-year-old, who was the only non-Caitlin Clark vote for WNBA Rookie of the Year, deactivated the account after she received criticism for the dress she wore whilst celebrating the New Year.
The fashionista, who enjoys going to parties, dinners and red carpet events, wore a golden dress that left her midriff almost completely exposed to the point where fans could see her belly button piercing.
A small bit of string held together parts of the dress covering her boobs and protecting her from indecent exposure, which critics slammed as inappropriate anyway whilst others tried to troll her.
