Angel Reese drops hint about future plans with Victoria’s Secret fueling speculation about her next big move

Angel Reese’s rookie season was spectacular, with the 22-year-old setting new records in what she does best, rebounding and dominating the paint. I can’t say for sure, but maybe in any other season Reese’s stats would have worked for her to win the Rookie of the Year award, but this year with the presence and dominance of Caitlin Clark, added to Reese’s injury, it looked impossible for the seventh pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, even after a record-setting rookie campaign for Reese. Reese finished with 446 rebounds, surpassing Sylvia Fowles‘ single-season record of 404, which was later surpassed by MVP A’Ja Wilson, and the record for rebounds per game; of course, if Reese had finished the season, she would have been the record holder.

Now, with plenty of time before the WNBA season starts, Reese knows how to make the most of it by generating or finding ways to make money. Reese has grown her following, with 4.4 million followers on Instagram and 4.6 million on TikTok, where her videos have garnered over 100 million likes. As you know, the more followers you have, the more income you can generate. Not only that, but she recently mentioned in an Instagram story that she wants to model for Victoria’s Secret soon.

Reese has leveraged the fame the WNBA has given her, whether it be through her podcast “Unapologetically” or various brand endorsements. If we compare her to Caitlin Clark, who is more famous for being a better player but less of a businesswoman, Reese has managed to “sell” herself better. She’s likely to walk a Victoria’s Secret runway soon, especially since she’s only 22 and her best years in the WNBA are yet to come.

Angel Reese Rookie Season

Reese finished the season averaging 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 39.1 percent from the floor in 34 games, her league-leading 13.1 rebounds per game and 5.1 offensive rebounds per game are the highest averages in those categories by any player in WNBA history. Reese, a 2024 WNBA All-Star, became the first player in league history to record three consecutive games with 20 or more rebounds. Also only Alyssa Thomas, who holds the record with 28, had more single-season double-doubles than Reese (26).
