There is no question that Angel Reese is one of the two candidates to win the Rookie Of The Year award after her performances speak louder than words to be on the top of the list alongside Caitlin Clark to be considered to win the trophy.

However, this is not something that the Chicago Sky player has in mind, in fact, she does not care much for this award, echoing what Clark said recently about being in the conversion for the award.

“I think me and Angel would both give you the same answer,” Clark told reporters before the game between each other. “We don’t wake up and think about individual awards. We don’t either care about the Rookie of the Year, I think you guys have made it a big thing.”

Angel Reese echoes Caitlin Clark: Team success is real goal_ not individual awards

The rookies are on the same page

Angel Reese said pretty much the same thing, as they both want to transcend in a tough and competitive league. “I don’t think anybody, we don’t either care about the rookie of the year but you guys.”

Then, the Chicago Sky player said that the media was the one to blame on this topic. #I think you guys have made it a big thing, we haven’t,” Reese said. “So just continue just to work within our team, we both wanna, we’ve been waiting to win, and that’s what we’ve done in our collegiate career, we played against each other in two numerous last year and the year before in the March Madness tournament so we’re just trying to do whatever it takes to win, that’s what’s important right now.”

It will be a game to remember, but also to have in mind that both of the top rookies that are the future of the league have the same mindset and that will carry their careers on the right path for many years to come.
