VIDEO: NBA Star PJ Washington’s ex, Brittany Renner, Reflects on Regretting How She Allowed Men to Take Advantage of Her in a S**xual Way
Brittany Renner has long portrayed herself as a confident woman who is unafraid to reveal personal aspects of her life. From detailing her relationship with PJ Washington to her experiences with motherhood, s**ual freedom, and even the forms of birth control she’s used, she’s been unapologetically open.
Recently, she appeared on a new episode of the hit podcast The Pregame Show, where she discussed “sitting in [her] sh*t” and learning to appreciate her self-worth after being taken advantage of by many men.
“I know what it’s like to be desired by men. I don’t know what it’s like to be valued by one. When people ask me why things haven’t worked out with anyone, it’s because I’ve never valued myself,” Renner admitted. “I’ve been running from myself for so long. I’m no longer drinking it away, eating it away, sleeping it away, or f**king it away. I’m facing my sh*t.”
She expressed that while she wouldn’t trade the wisdom she’s gained for a fresh start, she did have advice for younger women.
“I hate that I allowed myself to be used by men. That came from not understanding my self-worth. I didn’t realize the value I was born with. Again, people see s** differently, but at the end of the day, s** is a spiritual union. No matter how you frame it, that’s what it is.”
Renner also shared how disgusted she feels about some of the people she’s been intimate with.
“When I think about the people I’ve shared my body with, my list is repulsive because they didn’t deserve it. That was a result of me undervaluing myself,” she said. “It’s disgusting. I hate having those spiritual ties, even in the slightest way. If I could, I would completely change how I approached s**.”
“It’s painful to know I gave a sacred part of myself to men who treated it like something as trivial as taking a piss. It’s not fulfilling. It’s disgusting when I think about it, and I beat myself up every day for those choices. What people say about me online doesn’t come close to the harsh things I’ve told myself. I’ve been called worse by better—and that better is me.”
Years ago, Renner released a book titled Judge This Cover, where she discussed her perspectives on s**ual freedom, motherhood, life, and love. In the book, she also disclosed details about her experiences with seven celebrity men, using code names to protect their identities.
One of the stories included former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who, according to Renner, made her pay her way during visits.
“Colin was the rebound after Casey. I left Casey because he treated me poorly—or so I thought—but honestly, I broke up with him to be with Colin.
They first met in person while he was staying with a friend, white CiCi, and her family. If you’ve read the old threads, you’ll know who I’m referring to.
She took an expensive Uber ride to meet him at their house. Colin claimed he had only been with 25 women in his life, which she didn’t believe.
True to form, he told her she needed to cover her own flights if she wanted to visit him. He called it a test to gauge her intentions and interest. He said that if her feelings were genuine, she’d save her money for the trips.
He kept her a secret, treating her like a ‘community whore’ while she stayed with him for days, made his bed, and received forehead kisses before he left for practice.
When it came time for her to leave, she asked when they’d see each other again. He cryptically replied, ‘What I want to do and what I’m going to do are two different things. That’s all I’ll say.’ From there, things fell apart.”
