Things are beginning to change for the Indiana Fever thanks to the stellar play of Caitlin Clark.

The Fever, who haven’t won more than 13 games in a season since 2016, are currently on pace to surpass that tally this campaign.

Currently 11-15 with 14 games left, much of the team’s newfound success has to do with Clark, who has lived up to the hype since being drafted first overall in the WNBA Draft.

Clark causes a stir amongst Fever fans

The Fever recently posted a question of the day on their X account, in which they asked several players “what’s the most questionable food combo?”.

Clark didn’t hesitate in giving her answer, stating: “Mayo on hot dogs. You know who you are.”

That response struck a nerve with some Fever fans, with plenty defending mayo on hot dogs.

“My girl Caitlin calling me out? Mayo dog at airport at 8am is the best!,” wrote one fan, while another added: “Mayo/Ketchup on Hotdog is the bomb!”

One fan even speculated as to who Clark was calling out: “So is [Caitlin Clark] calling out [Connor McCaffrey] and [Kate Martin] for Mayo on a hot dog?”

Other Fever players got in on the conversation as well, with Katie Lou Samuelson questioning ketchup on macaroni and cheese.

Erica Wheeler said she isn’t a fan of pineapple on pizza, while Aliyah Boston hit out at pickles.
