The Chicago Sky is in trouble, and many believe is mostly because of the rookie. While Angel Reese is getting her stats, analysts and experts believe that is not enough. Her game has been criticized constantly even after collecting a milestone.
She had 11 points and 22 rebounds during the team’s loss to the Las Vegas Aces 77-75, which helped her get tie Tina Charles’ record for the most double-doubles in a season by a rookie, but the way she has performed on the court has ben on the eye of the hurricane.
People have talked about how she is missing shots especially from a short distance and how her long-range opportunities.
Angel Reese over the last three games she has scored on average 14.3 points, 20.7 rebounds and a 34.1 field goal percentage and over that period of time the team has gone 0-3 in this span.
Maybe it’s time for reinforcements
In the last three matchups she has gone 8/16 FG (10 Off Rebs) 3/12 FG (7 Off Rebs) 4/16 FG (10 Off Rebs), and most of those rebounds have been from her own shots.
In the game against the Aces she was 4/16 from the field, 4/15 from within 3 feet and 3 turnovers to 1 assist and her defense has not been good.
Another aspect of her game that has been criticized is when she shoots from the line, even at more than 70%, the way she has missed in key moments has been something to praise and the patient for experts is shortening.
