Colorado Buffaloes player’s controversial act toward Caitlin Clark aiming to win the Fever player’s heart – Her boyfriend’s response is wild

Caitlin Clark‘s celebrity has transcended women’s basketball and has captivated the sports world. The Indiana Fever’s rookie guard has enjoyed a record-breaking debut season in the WNBA as she seeks to inspire the long-suffering Fever franchise to a surprise playoff berth — their first in nearly a decade.

As the Fever are up-and-coming in basketball, the same could be said for the Colorado Buffaloes in NCAA football. Led by the legendary Deion Sanders, Colorado — armed with star players Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders — is hoping to take another step forward in 2024 and show that is one of the most exciting teams in college football. But are they biting off more than they can chew?

Bad news for this Buff

A video ostensibly captured by Colorado football personnel shows one player — partially obscured in shadow but appearing to be situated in a team activity — turning to the camera and asking Clark to “call (him)” in an audacious move undoubtedly complicated by the fact that Clark is in a long-term relationship with boyfriend Connor McCaffery.

“My girl Caitlin Clark is balling. She’s doing a great job. I look up to her and all she’s done for the sport,” the player said. “And if she sees this, I’m a great guy. I have the best intentions.”

McCaffery attended Iowa and played basketball just like Clark, gaining a front-row seat to how she transformed the college game. Clark ended her Hawkeyes career as the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer and led the program to consecutive national championship games before entering the WNBA — where she is the league leader in assists per game and ranks fifth in three-pointers made per game.

While this Colorado player has been rebuffed (no pun intended), they — like the rest of us — can continue to admire Clark’s artistry from afar as she continues to make her case for Rookie of the Year honors, as well as future superstardom.
