Caitlin Clark had a savage question for the Chicago Sky

Caitlin Clark gave the Chicago Sky as much as they could handle with her career-high 31 points, and she made sure the fans in Chicago knew about it. After scoring an and-one layup, she turned to the fans in Wintrust Arena and asked a cocky question she already knew the answer to, and the clip went viral.

Watch Caitlin Clark provoke Chicago Sky fans

The Indiana Fever rookie is a well-known trash talker, and she was in her bag on Friday night in the Windy City as the Fever destroyed the Sky 100-81. Throughout the night, she elicited cheers from the Midwestern crowd, full of fans from her native Iowa and her new home in Indianapolis, despite Indiana being the “road” team.

But the viral moment was one that showcased Clark’s ruthless competitive nature. It did not take an expert lip reader to make out her cocky question to the Chicago fans, asking them to confirm that her shot went in after she got fouled on a three-point play. Of course, she already knew the answer.

Clark setting records and trolling along the way

The rookie phenom was on her way to becoming the first player in WNBA history with five games of 20+ points and 10+ assists in the same season. Sky fans got roped in by a hot start in the first quarter, but after that, they didn’t have much to cheer for other than watching Angel Reese salvage her 23rd double-double of the season with her team down 20 in garbage time.

Add it to the list of Caitlin Clark’s funniest mid-game troll moments, which seems to grow by the day. It has earned her respect and comparisons to players like Stephen Curry from some pockets of social media.

“She looks harmless but deep down she might be the biggest asshole in the league. The Steph comps check out. Lol,” said one viral post on X, formerly Twitter, which drew 2.5 million views and almost 60,000 likes.

Clark’s provocative interaction with the fans was balanced by more wholesome interactions as well. She stayed long after the final buzzer to sign autographs for the many fans from nearby states who paid hundreds of dollars to see her career night against Reese and the Sky. But it won’t make this video sting any less.
