Doja Cat has pathetic four-word reaction

Doja Cat has pathetic four-word reaction to ‘terrible’ Oscars 2025 performance of Diamonds Are Forever

Doja Cat had a hilarious four word response after her ‘terrible’ performance of Diamonds Are Forever at Sunday’s Oscars 2025.

The popstar, 29, who is best known for her rapping, boldly took on the Shirley Bassey anthem at the Hollywood awards show, but was blasted over her rendition of the 1971 hit in a performance alongside Lisa, 37, who sang Live and Let Die and Raye, 27, who belted out Skyfall.

Doja was heard struggling on some of the higher notes with one fan writing: ‘Doja Cat sounds like a dead cat’ but the star took the criticism with good grace as she returned to social media.

In an emotional post on social media on Monday, the star quipped: ‘B***h hit some flats’ as she reflected on the performance.

She wrote:  ‘Thanks to the Academy Awards and Vanity Fair for having me.’

‘I never get to sing like that and what I did was brave and scary as f**k for me,’ she explained to her critics and fans.

‘I know a lot of people didn’t like it but a lot of people did,’ she said adding, ‘and I feel good that I pushed myself.’

‘I put a lot of work into it but the nerves got to me and a b***h hit some flats, she explained.

The hitmaker said the anxiety and the unkind comments hadn’t deterred her from seeking other opportunities.

‘I can’t wait to do something like that again. What a blessing that was. I feel amazing about the whole thing. Bye.’

Fans tried to put a positive spin on the experience.

‘You showed up the way you are authentically and that’s all that matters. You pushed through even though you were scared and you did amazing. Brava, Doja,’ stated a follower.

‘You definitely ate last night but you have said your insecure about your singing so even doing something as big as that is so amazing <3,’ wrote another admirer.

In an comment of her own, she spoke of the talents of Lisa and Raye, declaring, ‘Also, ALL the girls chewed down last night God BLESS them all. Absolutely gorgeous performances from everyone.’
