Nobody is safe if we start recording strangers on the streets in the U.S. This can be really problematic for several reasons, primarily related to privacy, legal, and ethical concerns, and the NFL wide reciever Deebo Samuel knows it perfectly.
The San Francisco 49ers player is one of the most important stars in the National Football League, therefore, his fame keeps increasing day by day to the point of being chased by randoms for just a picture on a normal basis.
Samuel took advantage of his social accounts to spread a wise message about how dangerous it is for celebrities to be recorded without any permission or even without any acknowledgement of the situation.
“I don?t think y’all people know dangerous it is that y’all be recording people while they are out eating. And then post it. Do y’all think that is actually safe to be doing that?” said Samuel about a situation that just happened to him.
Start thinking about the person you are recording, think about their well-being and privacy
“Start thinking about the person you are recording, think about their well-being and privacy, because at any point any time someone can pull-up and… you know how this world is… Respect people’s privacy” commented. This kind of actions are seen everyday, where ‘famous’ people are followed and chased everywhere they go, putting their families and loved ones at risk.
Other ways to approach someone
Deebo Samuel also gave his opinions on how to approach someone you may want to take a picture with or even just someone you want to praise or compliment: “If anything, y’all ask for anything politely, be like ‘excuse me’, ‘I know you are eating…’, ‘Do you mind taking a picture’… something like that. Don’t be trying to hide and record. too much going on in the world right now. You don’t know what people’s intentions are”.

Most people were on Samuel’s side in this topic, stating that he has a point, that what he said had to be said, that some people don’t think and it is sad that security are needed for this very reason.
Nevertheless, there were also some users that did not share his opinions, saying: “If you’re in public then you have given up your privacy”, “you were in a public place” or “that what comes with being a celebrity, unfortunately some get it and some won’t”.
Either way, this matter is really important for some celebs because every year we hear and see tragic news involving this topic.
