Karoline Leavitt has come under fire for mistakenly stating that a deceased firefighter would be present at Donald Trump’s address to Congress during her time on Fox News.

During her broadcast, she discussed the guest list for the evening, erroneously including the late Corey Comperatore.

“The guest list that Melania Trump put together, and that the president put together, is phenomenal,” she said.

“There will be every day American heroes in attendance…you have Corey Comperatore, who lost his life protecting his family in Butler, Pennsylvania,” Leavitt continued, referencing an assassination attempt on President Trump in Pennsylvania.

“You’ll also have an auto worker, you’ll have a steel worker, and you will see exceptional Americans with great stories. President Trump will be telling their stories tonight,” she added.

Viewers quickly reacted to the error, with one finding it ‘weird’ and another humorously asking if a seance was planned. “She is saying so many things each day, she must be right at least once soon,” quipped another, while a fourth commented on the ease with which lies seem to flow from Trump’s team.

One person even joked: “Are they gonna break out the Ouija board mid speech?”.

A particularly frustrated viewer exclaimed: “Karoline Leavitt’s bizarre claim that dead hero Corey Comperatore will attend Trump’s speech shows the chaos and incompetence of this administration. Another embarrassing gaffe from Trump’s team. Unbelievable.”

Referring to Robert F. Kennedy Jr, a viewer commented: “So RFK Jr will not be the only zombie in the audience.”

Another viewer expressed skepticism about the presence of an auto worker and steel worker, while one criticized Fox News, stating: “And of course state controlled media aka FOX NEWS never questioned her. ” Another user responded with concern, saying: “This woman is not well.”

A user criticizing the Republican party shared: “The problem is nobody calls these ppl out when they say dumb s—. She didn’t stutter or realize lol.”
