I’m uplifting and trying to get ’em going.”

As for Seacrest, he appeared to love the idea of Jelly Roll joining the American Idol team if the singer continued to give helicopter rides. “I like it. It feels good when you helicopter me. I need you every day.”

Although Katy Perry spent years on the show, the singer decided to step away to focus more on her own career. While certain names floated around the internet, the producers eventually revealed Underwood as the newest judge.
