Liam Payne’s Shocking Drug Encounter: Hotel Worker Surrenders to Authorities “Liam Payne Still Haunts Me…” – What will be the Verdict for Him?

Hotel Worker Accused Of Selling Liam Payne Drugs Turns Himself In

There’s been a new massive update on the case of Liam Payne‘s death.

As we previously reported, five people were charged in connection to the tragedy late last month. That includes CasaSur Palermo Hotel employees — chief of security Gilda Martín and head receptionist Esteban Grassi — and the One Direction alum’s pal Rogelio “Roger” Nores, who were accused of negligent homicide. Meanwhile, waiter Braian Nahuel Paiz and hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra were charged with supplying narcotics for payment.

Braian’s attorney, Fernando Madeo Facente, confirmed on Friday that police arrested him. And now, another suspect has been apprehended. According to the Argentinian newspaper La Nacion on Tuesday, Ezequiel turned himself in to the police. The outlet noted that cops went to his home outside of Buenos Aires with an arrest warrant on Friday but could not find him. However, the 21-year-old hotel staffer didn’t stay on the run for long. Facing the heat, Ezequiel reportedly negotiated his surrender through his lawyer. A source told La Nacion:

“After the raid, surveillance was carried out at a place where he was supposedly working and at other addresses, and under pressure, he went to see his lawyer and turned to the court.”

On Sunday, Argentine news outlet Infobae reported that five individuals are facing charges related to the death of former One Direction member Liam Payne. Among those charged are Gilda Martín, the chief of security at Casasur Palermo Hotel, and Esteban Grassi, the head receptionist, along with Liam’s friend, Rogelio “Roger” Nores. All three have been charged with negligent homicide, which is comparable to manslaughter, and face up to five years in prison. Additionally, waiter Braian Nahuel Paiz and hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra have been accused of supplying dangerous drugs to Liam, and are facing up to 15 years in prison if convicted for their role in providing narcotics for payment.

Related reports have also surfaced, including leaked messages that offer evidence of Liam’s involvement in drug transactions and his hiring of escorts.

Judge Laura Bruniard has issued an official statement on the charges. In court documents, she explained, as reported by The US Sun:

“I do not believe that the hotel managers acted with malice regarding the singer’s death, but they were reckless in their handling of his transfer to his room. They created a legally unacceptable risk, and Liam Payne’s death is the direct consequence of that.”

According to reports, Liam was reportedly “dragged” half-conscious from the hotel lobby to the elevator and carried to his room on the third floor (equivalent to the fourth floor in the US). Judge Bruniard noted that his condition was apparent, as he was “unable to stand or care for himself” due to the consumption of various substances. Toxicology reports confirmed that he had ingested cocaine, crack, benzodiazepines, and a combination of ketamine, methamphetamine, MDMA, and other substances, known as “pink cocaine.” The judge argued that the appropriate response would have been to place him in a safe environment with supervision until medical assistance arrived.

Instead, Liam was taken to his room, which, in his impaired state, created further risk. The judge theorized that Liam was not attempting self-harm but rather attempting to escape. She wrote that Liam “tried to leave the room through the balcony and consequently fell.” She lamented, “Liam wanted to climb over the balcony, fell into the abyss, and died.”

In regards to Roger Nores, the judge emphasized that, as a close friend and manager, he was responsible for Liam’s well-being. Rather than ensuring Liam was attended to in his vulnerable state, Nores left him alone in a hotel room while intoxicated. Judge Bruniard argued that, given the circumstances, Liam’s death was “foreseeable” and leaving him unattended constitutes grounds for criminal prosecution.
