Everyone Is Praying After Medical Emergency Halted Women’s College Basketball Game Between Notre Dame-NC State

A medical emergency occurred during Sunday’s women’s basketball game between Notre Dame and NC State, and prayers were pouring in online.

The No. 1 Fighting Irish played the No. 13 Wolfpack in what was one of the biggest games of the season – and it was a thriller as it went to double overtime. However, the event was also rocked by an off-court incident that saw play stopped for over 10 minutes as emergency personnel attended to a fan.

It was described as a pretty scary sight.

“Medical emergency in the stands at our game. Game is in a pause on ESPN,” reporter Holly Rowe relayed via X.

The update prompted plenty of concerned comments, with some fans wondering whether the person in question was okay.

“Praying,” someone wrote.

“Hoping that person is okay,” another said.

“any update on this situation???? was the person able to get the medical attention they needed?!?!?” asked a third.

 

“espn should not have a camera on the medical crew attending to the fan. why was the fan being carried out in a stretcher broadcast nationally?” another inquired.

We’re with everyone else in hoping the fan in question is doing well following their emergency situation.

Meanwhile, NC State won 104-95 on the day to stun Notre Dame in a shocking upset.
