Mike Tyson Tempted with Record-Breaking Money by Billionaire to Fight Jake Paul Again – The Biggest Payday in Boxing History? Will he do it again?

It’s a lot more than the $20 million he supposedly earned first time around

No matter your thoughts on the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight, it’s clear some people got very rich off the November 15 boxing match.

With Paul reportedly netting $40 million and Tyson landing a cool $20 million, there was also Netflix sitting pretty as some 60 million households tuned in and broke the stream.

The fight between “The Problem Child” and “Iron Mike” doesn’t seem to be going away, and while Jake Paul has retired from influencer boxing to focus on a wholly professional career, he’s not the only one who could be stepping back into the ring.

Despite his impressive legacy, Tyson officially retired from boxing in 2005 and has since returned for a series of exhibition fights to clear his debts.

The last saw him take on Roy Jones Jr. in a 2020 draw, while his fight against Jake Paul was a fully sanctioned bout that drummed up plenty of controversy.

Many were disappointed with the eight-round fight and its various rule changes, with some saying it was ‘sad’ to see the 58-year-old in the ring.

Others want to see if Tyson was just having a bad day, amid numerous calls for him to take on Paul once again and show the YouTuber what the so-called ‘baddest’ man on Earth can really do.

Among those apparently throwing their weight behind a rematch is Saudi Arabia’s Turki Alalshikh who runs the country’s General Entertainment Authority.

According to FTTV Boxing: “Turki Alalshikh offers Mike Tyson $700 million to fight Jake Paul and win by 3-minute KO in a rematch.”

Alalshikh reportedly added: “Jake Paul is a joke. I am giving Mike Tyson $700 million if he agrees to fight Jake Paul this time in a real fight and wins by KO in a maximum of 3 minutes.”

Back in November, Jack Lombardi II wrote a similar post X and said: “Saudi billionaire Turki Alalshikh has made a staggering $700 million offer to Mike Tyson, proposing the prize if Tyson agrees to a rematch against Jake Paul and secures a knockout victory within three minutes. Would you tune in?”

If legitimate, Tyson earning $700 million for a single match would break the $275 million Floyd Mayweather reportedly nabbed for the 2017 fight where he knocked out Connor McGregor.

The details of Alalshikh’s offer haven’t been verified, and there’s no news on whether Tyson will accept the offer. Even if he does, who’s to say Jake Paul will want another go?

In the aftermath of the fight, Paul explained: “I wanted to give the fans a show, but I didn’t want to hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt.”

“I tried to give the best fight I possibly could but when someone’s just surviving in the ring basically, it’s hard to make it exciting. I couldn’t really get him to engage me or slip shots and do something super cool or whatever.”

Tyson has been relatively quiet since the match, simply saying he was ‘grateful’ for the opportunity to get in the ring ‘one last time’.

That definitely makes it sound like he’s done, but with $700 million potentially up for grabs, it’s quite the golden carrot to lure him back.
