It was a place for many silent moments between him and himself to prepare and concentrate on what another game would mean, it also was a spot for celebration and joy, sometime a bit of both at the same time and now, Kobe Bryant’sLos Angeles Lakers Staples Center locker room will no longer be alone.

The locker that he used during his historic NBA career was sold at and very high figure of $2.88 million with much bidding for the suiters but no it has a new owner. This Friday the bidding closed after starting at 700 thousand dollars, however experts said that it was most likely going to be sold for around $1.5 million.

It was a big day for his family and the rest of the Lakernation, as a second statue of Kobe at Crypto.com Arena was unveiled. In it people can see her daughter Gigi as well, as it is representation of a popular photograph of both during a basketball game.

The Kobe Bryant legacy still goes on

Kobe Bryant began his career after being drafted in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets. However, Bryant did not want to play with the Hornets and asked to be traded, thus joining the Los Angeles Lakers.

His first season was discreet. From the bench he was decisive for the Lakers, although his numbers were not spectacular at all. However, in the following years he forged a legend that is still valid.

He spent 20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 25 points per game for his career, 4.7 assists, 5.2 rebounds and a .482 field goal percentage.
