Ryan Reynolds detailed life with Blake Lively as parents to daughters James, Inez and Betty and baby boy Olin.
Ryan Reynolds is cherishing the present.
After the Deadpool & Wolverine star revealed the name of his and Blake Lively’s baby boy Olin, Ryan detailed life at home with his son and the couple’s four daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4.
“It’s the best thing that ever happened to me,” Ryan told Amanda Hirsh during the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast July 30. “Embrace the chaos. We have four kids. Nothing’s going to be tidy ever again. It will, though, when they all leave the house.”
Ryan also credited Blake with some words of wisdom that he holds close to his heart through the ebbs and flows of parenting.
“My wife said to me, ‘They’re all under our roof right now.’ The 47-year-old explained. “‘The whole family’s under our roof right now. We have them all.’ And that is a fleeting thing. Not an infinite resource. Embrace the chaos of it all.”
Of course, The Proposal star admitted life as a dad of four isn’t always picture perfect—and offered some of his own advice.
“It does get to you,” he added. “It’s okay to be like, ‘F–k. I am dying here.’ If you can just think about what you would give in 40 years or 30 years to come back to this one moment.”
And Ryan emphasized that he is looking forward to embracing home life after the intensity of filming and promoting his latest movie, which also stars Hugh Jackman.
“I put my last drop of blood into this movie and, boy, did I love every second of it,” he noted. “But after this I’m just going to go be a dad and a husband.”

Over the years, The Green Lantern star has often exemplified just how much he loves being a parent with Blake. After all, he recently admitted he isn’t against adding more to the couple’s brood.
“The more the merrier,” he joked to E! News earlier this month. “As many as possible. As many little heartbeats as possible, just running around, wrecking stuff in the house. I love it. Let’s have more!”
On a more serious note, Ryan affirmed he and Blake couldn’t be happier as parents of four.
“Look, we wouldn’t do this four times if we didn’t love it,” he explained to CNBC last February. “Everybody’s doing great. Everybody’s actually doing fantastic.”
