McCreery then appeared alongside his five-piece band to deliver a flawless performance of the chart-climbing hit.
“It matters to her, it stays on her mind/ When you put her first every single time/ When you think she don’t see, when you think she don’t care/ When you think she don’t notice what you’re doin’ there/ Every little look, every single word/ Oh, it matters to her,” McCreery sang on the chorus.

Latest Album
“It Matters To Her” appears on McCreery’s latest project, Same Truck: The Deluxe Album.
The Top 10 (and climbing) song was co-written by McCreery alongside Rhett Akins and Lee Thomas Miller, and was influenced by lessons he learned during four years of marriage to Gabi.

“I’m a lyric guy,” McCreery recently shared with the press. “I’m a story guy, a message guy. And this story was just us sitting back, talking one day, me and Rhett [Akins] and LeeThomas Miller and just being like, ‘Man, you know what I’m learning? It’s just the littlest things. Like if I go downstairs and just empty the dishwasher, and she doesn’t have to tell me to stop watching golf and go do it, it’s a little thing, but it adds up over time. And I’m learning as a young husband, that’s what adds up and makes the difference.’ And I can still work on it. Like, I still shave and leave my beard hair in the sink. and she yells from downstairs like, ‘What the heck?’ But, it’s a cool song to sing.”
McCreery brought the song to life with a music video that features personal family photos and video photos. The clip plays out like a digital scrapbook of his journey to fatherhood.
Personal Music Video
The North Carolina native has been deeply impacted by becoming a father and recently opened up about how it’s impacting his new music.
“There’s definitely gonna be some baby songs, as you could guess,” McCreery told Taste of Country of his next album. “My music, for sure, has, kind of, leaned a little bit into that autobiographical stuff.”
“Something that I learned about music is how alike we all are rather than different. When I talk about my life, I could be talking about thousands of other people’s lives, and they relate to it, too,” he added. “So there’ll be a lot of life stuff. Just about not taking things for granted, and that’s where I’m at right now — just appreciating this new stage of life and new fatherhood.”
