Donald Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services was shocked to find out that the US President, who has a Diet Coke button on his desk in the Oval Office, has taken steps to watch his weight.
Robert F. Kennedy spoke with Fox News host Sean Hannity about Trump’s weight claiming he has “lost 30lbs” in recent weeks.
Hannity said, “You do work for a boss. he is getting healthier. He looks great and he told me that if he has a burger now he doesn’t have it with a bun”.
RFK Jr. replied, “I didn’t know he was changing his diet” which forced the Fox News host to quickly backtrack saying, “I hope I’m not revealing something I shouldn’t”.
Looking back at a week of volatile tariff activity from President Trump
The awkward moment comes after Trump has been branded the heaviest president in a century.
He’s also been known to body shame others, frequently ridiculing former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Trump seems to be struggling with his body mass index (BMI).
According to a 2020 statement from the White House physician, the Republican nominee stands at 6ft 3ins tall and weighed 244 pounds at the time. This technically classifies him as ‘obese’.
Yet, he claimed to weigh 215 pounds when he was arrested in Atlanta last year, but that’s likely inaccurate given his appearance hasn’t changed. Plus, this is the man who reportedly ate McDonald’s daily during the recent hush money trial.
So where does Trump rank among all presidents?
Political Flair reports that Trump’s main rival for the largest spot on the Presidential Pie Chart is none other than William Howard Taft, the 27th US president who served from 1909-1913. Taft, famously rumored to have once been wedged in a bathtub, tipped the scales between 335-340 pounds and stood at 5ft 11ins tall, making him ‘larger’ than Trump.
In terms of recent presidents, Trump surpasses them all, including second-place Lyndon Johnson who stood at 6ft 3.5ins and weighed 240 pounds. Bill Clinton surprisingly takes the third spot.
