It is safe to say that a player that is part of the Baltimore Ravens organization is more likely to be involved in a car accident than being part of any other team in the NFL, as rookie cornerback Nate Wiggins won’t be able to play this Sunday because of an incident.

The Baltimore Ravens first-round pick was involved in a car crash on Wednesday, one that apparently was not anything “serious”, according to head coach John Harbaugh, but “he’s just not going to be able to play”.

Everyone seems to know that the player could be on the field in this upcoming game against the Las Vegas Raiders was a meaningful game, but since he is a rookie and it is only Week 2, it is not required to push him. The real problem is the trend that has been created.

A concerning trend in Baltimore

After this situation, there is a great deal of concern in the Baltimore Ravens organization as Nate Wiggins is the fourth member of the team that has been involved in a car accident this summer.

Tigh end Mark Andrews, outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy and insider linebacker Josh Ross were all “ok” after their incidents but nonetheless they were part of something like that and this has been a reason to be preoccupied.

Because reckless driving from their own part of on the part of the other civilians, there is no question that this trend has had an impact on the team and it is yet to be seen if the team addresses this in a strong way as they want to have healthy players but also want to keep their players safe.
