Phoenix Mercury's Diana Taurasi in action before a WNBA basketball...

She has always been involved in situations where she leaves everything on the line, but sometimes those very same things puts her vulnerable and ends up taking a toll on her and for Diana Taurasi this time is no different.

The WNBA star will be suspended per league rules. One of the best ever and longest-tenured players, received a technical foul during Sunday afternoon’s game against the Las Vegas Aces.

The former UConn Huskies star was hit with her seventh of the season during the third quarter of the game with 7:39 remaining in the period and this means she will not be available for the Phoenix Mercury.

The suspension for Diana Taurasi

The guard that won a gold medal with Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris, France, picked up the foul after arguing with referees. The refs felt that she took thing too far with her criticism in the second half of the game.

Due to league rules, Diana Taurasi will not be available for the following game. This always happens when a player receives a seventh technical foul. The only way she can be available to play is if the league changes their mind.

The only way for that to happened is if the league rescinded the technical foul but it is unlikely that will happen as she won’t be able to play on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Dream. Taurais is among the WNBA players with the most technical fouls in the league.
