Taylor Swift’s Super Bowl Shock: Desperate Talks with NFL for 2026 Halftime Show After Backlash Over Kendrick Lamar Performance Apology!
The NFL is looking to captivate an international audience with a Swift performance

THE NFL is desperate for a bounce-back Super Bowl halftime show performance and already have their gaze fixed on a true global superstar.
While Taylor Swift didn’t witness Super Bowl glory alongside her boyfriend Travis Kelce in New Orleans earlier this month, she might become even closer to the action next year.

According to a source within the NFL, Swift is the main goal for the next Super Bowl halftime show, which will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
The organization are very aware of the controversy that Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance caused this year, with all the controversy surrounding his Drake diss track Not Like Us dominating the build.
So it’s no surprise commissioner Roger Goodell and his fellow football bosses want to make it up to fans in 2026.
“Taylor is the goal we want her to be doing the SB halftime show it has been something we should have done before,” the source told The U.S. Sun.
“It would be historical and we would make the best numbers ever and get someone that everyone loves and that doesn’t create any controversy.”
While Kendrick’s display was lauded by his fans, others flooded social media wanting a more conservative, even family friendly performer, for one of the biggest sporting events on earth.
Swift will certainly tick all those boxes.
“We heard about some fans request for Carrie Underwood, but I really don’t think that it would happen for her anytime soon,” continued the insider.
“That is not a target for a Super Bowl halftime show, and we want an international superstar, someone that the whole world knows and that for sure would make an unbelievable show.
“That person is Taylor Swift. We will do everything to make it happen next year.”
The NFL is looking to make history and continue to smash records for viewership for their main event.
While Super Bowl LIX was the most-viewed in history, Super Bowl LX could completely smash that record if Swift struts her stuff on stage.
The NFL knows that she can reach an audience they have only dreamt of.
The U.S.S Sun has extensively reported on how Swift’s attendance at Chiefs games has seen merchandise sales soar, especially with female fans.
Her crossover appeal is a huge plus for the NFL.
“There is only one name in the target, for the majority of people in the offices: Taylor Swift,” another source in the organization told The U.S. Sun.
Taylor Swift’s shocked reaction to being mercilessly booed at Super Bowl as her three-word message is spotted
“It’s in everyone’s mouth, in everyone’s priority and we know that we will make history if she accepts to do the 2026 Halftime show.”
“She is the biggest superstar in the world right now, and the impact of this show would be unique, much bigger than any other done until now at Super Bowl.”
“I mean, we could break the biggest number of audiences ever for the event, and have people pushing to buy tickets for big amounts and some even just coming for the show, and Swifties, and not only, from around the world would be in front of their TV watching this historical event.”
“We all want that, and we are gonna do everything to have her get to do the next year’s halftime show, as we want to not have to deal with all the tensions and controversy we had to deal with this year in New Orleans.”
The NFL, according to well-placed sources, were unhappy with Kendrick’s performance and want Jay-Z’s Roc Nation company, who help organize the entertainment for the Super Bowl, to allow more people to make the final decisions.
They firmly believe Swift is the perfect performer to bring everyone together.
“It’s important to make next year the best one ever, and put this year’s show behind us and not have to have to deal with what he had to deal with this year in Nola,” the source continued.

“That was a bit embarrassing, to say the least. With Taylor doing the halftime show, we would have the biggest sport event in the history of American sports, and one event that would explode previous numbers of viewers in America and worldwide.”
“It would be a massive win for us, and way to promote the NFL all over the world at a much bigger level. We all want that, and we are gonna do everything for that to happen next year.”
“That is kind of an obsession but it’s gonna be worth it at every level. In a Business level, that would be probably the most money generating event in the history of the league.”
“Taylor’s name is on everyone’s mouth, everyone’s brain, everyone’s agenda in the league.”
The league source also reiterated that there is some interest in singer-songwriter Underwood, but that the NFL doesn’t have her in any future plans for the coming years.
“About Carrie Underwood, there is a lot of fans pushing for it, but that is not a priority for now, not at all, as we focus on other kinds of artists,” the source said.
“Maybe Carrie would be picked in the future, but at the moment, she is not even into the artists that are into consideration for SB halftime shows in the next few years.”
