Some fans believed that Biles got points taken off during her balance beam for not holding her salute long enough.
When Biles finished her floor routine, she held her salute until she got off the floor, to make sure she got the points for it.
Fans spotted the petty gesture, and shared their laughs on social media.
“Holding her salute until she walks off the podium LMAOOO match the judges petty with petty,” one fan said.
“Pretty sure that’s exactly why they gave a lower score than Rebeca,” another fan said.
“She’s so real for that,” a third fan said.
“She girl bossed this competition so hard,” a fourth fan said.
“I wish I could be as petty as her,” a fifth fan said.
Biles struggled on her final day of competition, failing to medal on the balance-beam and getting silver on the floor.
She is still taking home three gold medals, and four in total, adding to her incredible Olympic legacy.
“I’m 27 years old walking away from this Games with four medals to add to my collection.
“Not mad about it.”
Biles helped Team USA in the team all around event before going on to win gold in the individual all around and vault events.
“I’ve accomplished way [more than I thought I would],” she said.
“A couple years ago, I didn’t think I’d be back here.”
Biles is 27 years old, and will be 31 when the next Olympics roll around. However, she isn’t ruling out a return to the biggest stage.
“Never say never,” Biles said.
“Next Olympics are at home. So you just never know. I am getting really old.”
