The Kansas City Chiefs are all set to begin another title run in the NFL. Coming off of two straight Super Bowl triumphs, the team will once again rely on the Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce duo, which has paid the bills and brought home silverware for a decade.

As Kelce gets older, and with his relationship with Taylor Swift in the public eye, many have begun wondering if Kelce could possibly call it quits after this upcoming season. He has a multi-million dollar podcast to fall back on, and he’s now venturing into a different area as well: acting.

The trailer for FX‘s show Grotesquerie released on Wednesday, and Kelce was front and center.

Travis Kelce plays mystery character in FX TV Show

The NFL superstar introduced the trailer, cheekily saying “that’s right, you might see some familiar faces“. It then delves right in, with prominent actress Niecy Nash-Betts the main character.

Kelce makes his first appearance nearly two minutes in, stoically proclaiming “there’s no future after this“. He then pops up 10 seconds later, looking expressionless.

It’s unclear what Kelce’s exact role will be in the TV show, but he has already creeped out some fans with his short cameos. He might be built for this after all. The murder mystery series will air on September 25.
