Virginia and Andrea Bocelli’s touching performance of Leonard Cohen’s song at the White House is sure to tug at your heartstrings.
Little Virginia and her father, Andrea Bocelli, delivered a breathtaking duet of a Leonard Cohen song, and it was every bit as incredible as fans had hoped. The heartfelt chemistry between the father-daughter pair left everyone in awe, with their performance radiating warmth and sweetness that made the moment even more memorable.
The concert took place last night and was broadcast on the US channel PBS. UK and world viewers sadly can’t see the full broadcast. However, Andrea posted a beautiful video of him singing at the White House with Virginia for their fans to enjoy.
Watch their duet below.
The song they are singing is, of course, Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, just as they did last year in the broadcast from the Teatro Regio di Parma. As always, Andrea accompanies their voices on the guitar.
Speaking of the extraordinary experience, Andrea said: “As an artist, a father, and a close friend of the United States, I am happy and grateful to have received an invite that honors myself, my family and above all my beloved Italy. Thank you to President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden for inviting us to the 2021 edition of “Spirit of the season”.
“Another dream of mine has become a reality in this great earthly adventure that began in a small town in the Tuscan countryside. Alongside my extraordinary colleagues and children Matteo and Virginia, I’ll be wishing the world a peaceful Christmas and a bright future full of love and hope.
