An elderly woman named Michelle lived a quiet life in a small town. She was the mother of three sons: Eric and John, her own sons, and Mike, an adopted child. Although Michelle always tried to create a level playing field for all her children, she felt that there were differences between them. Eric and John were loving and loyal, while Mike, although a favorite, often displayed selfishness.

One day, Michelle found out that she had been left an inheritance of several million dollars. This news shocked her, but at the same time made her happy. On the day of the wedding, the whole family gathered in the church. Michelle looked beautiful in a white dress, but there was anxiety in her eyes. When it was time to say the vows, she suddenly stood up and began to read the will. Eric and John listened with bated breath, not believing what they were hearing. In it, Michelle announced that she would bequeath her entire estate to them: Eric and John. She explained that she could not forgive Mike for his vile act and that her decision was not made spontaneously, but after much thought.

Mike, stunned and disappointed, could not utter a word. Michelle, having finished reading the will, turned around and walked out of the church, leaving everyone completely bewildered. Eric and John, although shocked, were relieved. They understood that their mother had made the right decision.

Six months later, Michelle passed away, leaving her entire fortune to Eric and John. Mike was left with nothing, realizing that his greed and selfishness led him to lose not only his inheritance, but also the opportunity to be part of the family. He understood that true love and care are not measured by money, and his attempt to manipulate Michelle’s feelings turned out to be a total failure.
