Robert and his elderly father, Bruno, lived in a small but cozy house on the outskirts of town. After his mother died, Robert took on the responsibility of caring for his father, but soon realized that the burden was much heavier than he had imagined. Each day he worked long hours while Bruno remained at home with Nurse Margot, who constantly reminded him that he needed more money for medicine, diapers, and warm clothing. These reminders were beginning to irritate Robert, who felt that his father was demanding too much.

Returning home each evening, exhausted and tired, Robert refused to spend time with Bruno, finding him boring and uninteresting. Then, an idea crossed his mind: to take his father to Mark’s house to free himself from the burden of caring for him. However, two months later, Robert learned that his father had become a millionaire thanks to an inheritance from a distant relative. At first, he was happy for Bruno, but soon envy and a desire to reconnect with him took over. He tried to see his father, but Mark, who was guarding the entrance, denied him access. “Your father has left you, Robert. He wants nothing to do with you,” Mark told him, and those words hit him like a dagger.

Robert, seeking justice, tried to sue his father, but all his efforts were in vain. Bruno, finding a new life, found solace surrounded by children who cared for him and made his days brighter. The other brothers supported Mark in caring for Bruno, who finally felt loved and needed.
