Ahead of Donald Trump’s address to Congress, singer Kid Rock appeared on Jesse Waters’ Primetime show on Fox News where he made derogatory comments about Minnesota representative Ilhan Abdullahi Omar.
On one of the most viewed news channels, the musician suggested she should “put a basket over her head” and “Go back to where she came from.”
When asked for his advice to the Democratic party, he responded, “Maybe shut up, sit down, and learn something…I mean what? Ilhan Omar’s gonna walk out? Just collect your things from your office, put a basket over your head, and go back to where you came from.”
Rep. Omar was born in Somalia and had to escape the country’s brutal civil war at the age of eight.
