DiJonai Carrington is nce again riling up the fan base of Caitlin Clark

During her rookie campaign, many moments of controversy brewed, like when she was pushed during the Chicago Sky game.

The other one that caused backlash was when Connecticut Sun star DiJonai Carrington hit Caitlin Clark in the eye in Game 1 of their first-round WNBA playoff series.

The Sun star was asked by a reporter in an interview if there was actually any intention on her end, and she scoffed at even being asked that question.

Carrington would soon take to Instagram ahead of Game 2 and reveal a screenshot of an email that contained several expletives and wished death upon her due to her poking Caitlin Clark in the eye.
Clark and the Fever would soon be eliminated, and the backlash would stop.

That was until DiJonai Carrington decided to bring the situation up again while on Instagram with Caitlin’s teammate.

While seemingly making dinner, NaLyssa Smith seemed to accidentally hit Carrington in the eye.

Carrington used that opportunity to take a subtle shot at Caitlin Clark clearly in her response.

“You poked me in the eye. Did you do it on purpose?”

That was definitely a shot at the reporter who asked her if she intentionally poked Caitlin Clark in the eye.

Megan Rapinoe Ripped ‘Racist’ Question Over Caitlin Clark-DiJonai Carrington Drama

Megan Rapinoe was not a fan of a USA Today columnist questioning Sun guard DiJonai Carrington after she poked Fever star Caitlin Clark in the eye during their first-round playoff opener.

“Obviously hearing it, initially my visceral reaction was like, that’s not good, that doesn’t feel good,” Rapinoe told her “A Touch More” podcast co-host and partner Sue Bird.

“That feels racist, to be honest. That feels like you’re putting DiJonai in an impossible situation.”

It should be noted that Caitlin Clark stated she did not believe the eye poke was intentional.

“It wasn’t intentional by any means,” Clark said.

“You just watched the play. It wasn’t intentional.”
