Jason Kelce and Shaquille O’Neal

NFL star Jason Kelce has just announced his retirement. Due to this retirement, social media started to create buzz and offer tributes. During that buzz, an old video has resurfaced of Kelce talking to former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal.

Shaq talked about some of his own experiences and acknowledged that he had made errors in the past that had cost him his family. He emphasized the value of cherishing those you love and urged Kelce, should he decide to retire, to put his lovely wife and children first. The former player with the Los Angeles Lakers said,

“I made a lot of dumb mistakes to where I lost my family, and I didn’t have anybody. That’s not the case for you. So enjoy your beautiful wife. Enjoy your beautiful kids, and never dwell on what we had. “

Shaq continued,

“What we had is what we got. You got the ring. People know who you are. Enjoy. Because again, I was an idiot and I’ve talked about it a long time. I lost my whole family. I’m in a 100,000 square foot house by myself.”

 

Shaquille O’Neal counseled him to concentrate on his current pleasures and achievements rather than dwelling on the past, such as Jason Kelce’s Super Bowl ring and his well-regarded standing in the NFL. He wanted Kelce to know the significance of family and happiness above and beyond football accomplishments, based on his regrets.

Jason Kelce was one of the best centers in the NFL

Following 13 NFL seasons, all spent with the Philadelphia Eagles, Jason Kelce has established himself as one of the league’s best centers and is likely destined for the Hall of Fame. His record on the field speaks for itself, as he has seven Pro Bowl appearances and six choices to the All-Pro First Team.

Kelce is a Super Bowl winner. He won against a very star-studded New England Patriots team back in 2018.

In 2023, he was also considered one of the sexiest men of the year. All in all, Jason Kelce has accomplished everything he set out to do and more in his career.
