Britney Spears has taken to social media to respond to her mom Lynne Spears‘ rebuttal about claims she threw away her daughter’s dolls and journals, writing online that she doesn’t ‘care anymore.’
Earlier this week, insiders close to the 41-year-old pop star — who spoke out against bullying days ago — accused Lynne of auctioning off Britney’s childhood collection of dolls and other items.
Lynne clapped back with an Instagram post and wrote, ‘I’m not sure who told you I got rid of your dolls and journals but I would never do that!’
The mother-of-three also shared photos of the collectibles to emphasize that she still has them.
She continued: ‘That would be cruel because I know how much they mean to you. They are special to me too because of the years we spent collecting them.’

Her thoughts: Britney communicated with her mom through a public post and said she doesn’t want the dolls anymore
Britney’s Instagram post included a clear memo to her mom.
The Toxic singer wrote, ‘Ps, mom I love you so so much, but there were 3 dolls in the cabinets when I went home 2 years ago …’
She added that it was ‘kinda really weird you would take them out and then put them back in … so messed up.’
To close out her message, she noted, ‘Nope, I don’t want them. Keep it all. I honestly don’t care anymore … honestly though.’
The communication to Lynn was casually included at the end of an anecdote about Taylor Swift.
The post included two side-by-side throwbacks of Britney and Taylor.
In the caption, Britney revealed that 20 years ago Taylor approached her through an intermediary and sang for her, leaving the older songstress shocked by the up-and-comer’s talent.
The story was accompanied by the original backstage picture from 2003, plus a famous snap of her and Taylor at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

Making it clear that she is unable to reach the troubled pop star personally, Lynne asked Britney if she could return the aforementioned items in her post about the knickknacks.
She wrote: ‘Of course I still have your things, and I am happy to send them to you if you’d like me to. Please let me know and know how much I love you!’
The post featured a carousel of images including an old journal, a vintage doll collection and ornate china.
Lynne is said to have started selling her daughter’s clothing in 2018 at Connie’s Jewelry and Gifts in Kentwood, Louisiana — which is owned by Britney’s childhood friend Cortney Brabham’s family.
A Spears family insider claimed Lynne has ‘easily made thousands of dollars in profit,’ adding that Britney had ‘no clue’ about any of it.
