One of these pieces of information was specifically about the scene in American Psycho when Christian Bale‘s character is in the shower while giving his monologue about his morning routine. The director revealed some extremely odd behind-the-scenes information.

She mentioned that while this scene was being shot, all of the women on the set of the film would gather around to watch the scene being shot. If this wasn’t creepy enough, their reason for this was the fact that they wanted to watch Bale wash himself, as the actor is nude in this scene, imperative to showcase the twisted psychology of the character that he was playing.
There May Have Been No Need For This
Even though the majority of the women on set were excited to see Christian Bale during that particular scene, it may not have been needed as over the course of filming the film, the actor got more and more comfortable with the nudity that the film required. this specifically happened during the filming of one of the most iconic scenes in the film, the one where Partick Bateman chased a woman around an apartment complex, completely naked, and covered in blood.
