Lawrence easily commands anywhere between $15 million and $20 million for a role. But Lawrence prioritizes the value of money and thinks twice before spending her hard-earned money.
In 2013, the Red Sparrow actress opened up about her frugal lifestyle during an interview with Fabulous Magazine. Lawrence shared that even though she was loaded with money, she had the respect for her money to spend it responsibly. The Winter’s Bone actress further shared that she found mini-bars unnecessarily costly, drove the same car for a long time, and refrained from purchasing a new home. Lawrence told Fabulous (via Business Insider):
“I was raised to have value for money, to have respect for money, even though you have a lot of it. That’s why mini-bars are difficult, because it’s like yes, I can afford a $6 Snickers bar, but there’s just something wrong with that! I still drive my same car I’ve been driving for a long time and I haven’t bought a house yet.”
Lawrence also shared that she hated shopping her entire life and preferred staying in than going out. The X-Men actress credited her family for instilling financial responsibility. She added that they never let her turn into an “a**hole” with money, which taught her important lessons in humility and frugality from a very young age.

Lawrence told Fabulous:
“I don’t ever walk around feeling famous. I walk around feeling the exact same way I have walked around my entire life. But it’s not until I talk to somebody and see in their eyes that I’m different. It makes me feel weird.”
Lawrence even found appearing for Red Carpets and stage promotions uncomfortable and shared that such events made her nervous.
