LeBron James recently cemented himself as the GOAT in scoring terms with his exclusive 40,000 points record. But still, the GOAT debate divides opinion among the NBA masses and to render the discussion useless, LeBron still has some way to go. While LeBron James has indicated his wish to soldier on his quest to greatness on the court, he seemingly has some catching up to do to reach Michael Jordan’s gargantuan stature and $3 billion net worth.

After acquainting himself with multiple ventures, starting from Blaze Pizza to Lobos 1707, from Fenway Group to SpringHill Company, the 39-year-old has matured his business savvy. Now with SpringHill production, LeBron is set for some time travel for himself and his millions of fans around the globe.

LeBron James’ Springhill production to lead History Channel docs

The History Channel has expanded its partnership with LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Company by commissioning three new documentaries. While details on two projects are known – “Triumph: Jesse Owens and the Berlin Olympics” and “Jim Thorpe” – information about the third documentary has not come to the surface as of this writing.

The first project will be undertaken by Uninterrupted and Cinemation Studios in association with GroupM Motion Entertainment, with the second one produced by Uninterrupted in association with INE Entertainment, Five All in the Fifth and GroupM Motion.

“Triumph: Jesse Owens and the Berlin Olympics” will be directed by the HBO series “The Lady and the Dale” director Andre Gaines. The two-hour documentary will feature the story of the 1936 Berlin Olympian, Jesse Owens, who won four medals despite Adolf Hitler-ruled German oppression. The story will be narrated by Don Cheadle, featuring interviews with journalists and historians along with rare footage.

The second project titled “Jim Thorpe” will highlight the life of a US athlete from the early 1900s who excelled in baseball, football and basketball. The documentary will be directed by acclaimed director Chris Eyre, with LeBron James and Mav Carter as producers. A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights for both documentaries.

LeBron gearing up for men’s grooming line

The majestic beard of King James is enough to indicate his self-caring nature. While keeping his body sharp through grueling training regimes, the Lakers veteran is also a keen advocate of presenting himself with a sharp look. To feed that passion, LeBron and Maverick Carter are launching their men’s grooming brand called “The Shop,” inspired by their famous show with the same title.

The Shop’s co-creator Paul Rivera told WWD during an interview, “We created The Shop out of a deep love and passion for the barbershop experience. Our show was designed to bring people inside the shop for the debates, the arguments and the therapy you can only get at a true neighborhood spot. Now, we want to give people another side to the experience.”

The products are set to launch on April 1 and come with a pocket-friendly price range of up to $10. By the looks of it, billionaire LeBron is on the fast track to touch Michael Jordan off the court as well.
