Qerim appeared alongside NFL icon Shannon Sharpe, NBA analyst Chiney Ogwumike, and Stephen A. on Tuesday’s edition of the sports debate program.
The three analysts resided in First Take’s studios in Los Angeles while Molly fronted the New York City studios.
During the start of the second hour of First Take, Smith began his ranking segment.
The fiery personality came up with the list “Potentially impactful stars down [the] stretch” for the 2023 NBA season.
Stephen A. answered his list with the following players in order: Denver Nuggets’ Jamal Murray, Los Angeles Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard, Milwaukee Bucks’ Damian Lillard, New York Knicks’ Julius Randle, and Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards.
He gave his reasoning for each player as the NBA has close to 25 games remaining in the regular season.
Qerim, who was at the desk, immediately revealed her displeasure for the segment.
“I don’t even give grades. That is an F,” she told Smith.
That caused Ogwumike to raise her eyebrows and show her astonished look.
Molly then gave her reasoning, saying, “I couldn’t even follow the title.
“I’m like, ‘Where are we even going?’
She ended her rant by telling Stephen A., “You’re dead to me. You’re embarrassing our show.”
Smith calmly replied to Molly, “Even with embarrassment, it still going to get ratings.”
Plenty of fans agreed with Qerim’s tirade, with one saying, “This list is not it,” and another stating, “I was embarrassed just to watch.”
Qerim’s rant came after Stephen A. poked fun at the host for wearing a dark blazer over a white top, while the rest of the cast donning purple colored outfits.
“This is what Molly does,” the 57-year-old said.
“She lives in her own world, we’re all just here.”
