Rising to fame through her stand-out character in the hit HBO show Euphoria, the actress has traveled quite far in Hollywood. From struggling to pay rent, even after an Emmy nomination, to now owning her own production company, she’s truly made her mark.
Although she possesses exceptional talent as an actress, she’s not confining herself to just that. Sweeney has been venturing into production as well. With the motto of ensuring everyone has an equal footing on the project, she co-founded her production company, Fifty-Fifty Films, in 2020 alongside her fiancé Jonathan Davino.

She recently spoke at SXSW, shedding light on her company and the significance behind its name, Fifty-Fifty Productions. She explained,
“I truly believe that it takes everybody to create something, it’s not just one person. I want to be fifty fifty with all my partners. I want to make sure that everybody has equal deals, feels that they are all equally at the table. I just want to make sure that I’m 50-50.”

The current projects available to be distributed by Fifty-Fifty Films include Anyone But You, starring Sydney Sweeney herself and Glen Powell, along with Immaculate, Sweeney’s latest acting venture, slated for a release soon in theaters.

Listening to every voice is her motto, she explained she is here to amplify the narratives of fresh female authors, emerging directors, and up-and-coming screenwriters. Understanding the significance of these stories needed to be told, she’s said to Teen Vogue,
“Being able to make a dream of theirs that they didn’t think was possible for years and years happen, is amazing — to never put a limit to what their capabilities are because they’re female, or their age, or their background,–I’m a big advocate for making sure everybody’s voice is heard.”

Some projects currently in development under the production company are The Player’s Table with Fifth Season, The Registration for Sony Pictures, and The Caretaker for Universal Pictures.
