TAYLOR Swift’s father Scott Swift was left unharmed after becoming the victim of a home invasion at his $4 million penthouse in Florida.
The 67-year-old stockbroker was returning home to the St Petersburg condo on January 17 when he reportedly saw Terrence Hoover, 30, walking out of his apartment.

Tampa Bay Times reports a struggle ensued and Hoover escaped.
Pinellas County court records show that Hoover had managed to enter the “fully gated and guarded entrance” before entering the property through an emergency stairwell.
According to an arrest affidavit seen by Tampa Bay Times, a security camera inside the property “recorded Hoover walk up the stairs and exit the stairwell into the penthouse just before 10 pm”.
Swift entered the property soon after where the arrest report states a struggle took place between the pair before Hoover ran away.

His mother told the publication that her son was “looking for churches by the water” where his wife may have been staying, and “should be charged with only trespassing”.
She alleged that his wife left him and his three children six months ago.
Swift purchased the condo in February 2018 for what was at the time a record-breaking price for a Vinoy condo.
It includes the entire top floor of one of the Vinoy Place towers, and has three bedrooms and three full baths.

Pop superstar Taylor has also been the victim of numerous break-ins, and in March 2019 a stalker obsessed with the Bad Blood star, was arrested for allegedly breaking into the star’s home.
Roger Alvarado, 23, had just been released from jail for breaking and entering her house in April 2018 when he attacked her New York apartment a second time.
Alvarado climbed a ladder to the second-floor window of her townhouse in Manhattan before hurling a brick through her window at around 2.30am, according to an NYPD spokeswoman.
The incident comes just hours after Taylor penned an essay for Elle Magazine, saying that she has been “terrified” to go on tour since the Manchester Arena bombing and the Vegas concert shooting.
She wrote: “I was completely terrified to go on tour this time because I didn’t know how we were going to keep three million fans save over seven months.”
