Caitlin Clark, Fever Beat Dream, Impress Fans amid WNBA Playoff Bracket Push
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever picked up a crucial win against the Atlanta Dream 84-79 on Monday as the two teams fight for a playoff spot.
Clark exited the game briefly after rolling her ankle, but returned to the court in the second quarter and finished with 19 points, seven assists and seven rebounds. She also drained four three-pointers to tie the WNBA rookie record for threes made in a season.
Clark’s co-star in the backcourt, Kelsey Mitchell, led the way for Indiana with 29 points and seven boards while Aliyah Boston put up 14 points and 11 boards.
After the win, fans hyped Clark and the Fever’s playoff chances as the end of the season nears.

With the win, the Fever improved to 14-17 and surpassed their win total from a season ago. Indiana’s 14 wins mark its most since the 2016 season when it finished 17-17, the same year the Fever made their last playoff appearance.
The Dream currently sit in ninth place in the WNBA standings while the Fever are in seventh, so Atlanta was hoping to get a crucial win to try to catch up. Meanwhile Indiana continues to get closer to the No. 6 seeded Phoenix Mercury. If the Fever can put together a hot stretch they can improve their playoff standings even more.
