Caitlin Clark has done it. After a stellar rookie season, the Indiana Fever point guard has cemented her spot amongst the stars of the league. Along with her near-unanimous Rookie of the Year win, Clark received another award.

Clark was named to the All-WNBA First Team, making her the first rookie to be given that honor in sixteen years. She joins Sabrina Ionescu, Kahleah Copper, Nneka Ogwumike, and A’ja Wilson. Clark etched herself in WNBA history with her incredible rookie season.

After winning that award, a Fever legend went and congratulated Clark on her achievement. Tamika Catchings went on X to congratulate the Fever star.

In her rookie season in the WNBA, Clark made sure to leave a strong impression on the court. The Fever rookie averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and a league-leading 8.4 assists per game. Clark was projected to be an elite talent in the league, and her first season in the W proved that she belonged.

Clark’s performance helped propel the Fever to their first playoff appearance since 2016, Catchings’ last season in the WNBA. Unfortunately, they lost in two games to the Connecticut Sun. Still, the future looks bright for Clark and the Fever next season.

Clark and the Fever are looking to build upon the success they found this season to win a championship in the future. Expect this All-WNBA selection to be the first of many in Clark’s career as they make waves in the league.
