Fox News Has Best January in History, Marking 23 Years at No. 1, as CNN’s Numbers Flounder

Fox News has incredibly aired the 603 most-watched programs on cable news since the Election Day as claimed by Fox

Fox News Channel achieved its highest-rated January in history, extending its remarkable streak as the No. 1 network in cable news for 23 consecutive years. While competitors CNN and MSNBC continued to struggle, Fox News solidified its dominance, delivering unmatched viewership figures.

Since Election Day, the network has aired the 603 most-watched programs on cable news, maintaining an overwhelming lead over its rivals. In January alone, Fox News was home to the top 270 cable news telecasts in the United States, further cementing its position as the industry leader.

Suzanne Scott, CEO of FOX News Media, acknowledged the network’s continued success, crediting the team’s commitment to delivering high-quality news coverage.

“As we mark 23 years as America’s most-watched cable news network, I would like to thank our incredible team both on and off the camera for their dedication to delivering the best product in news. Each year, we surpass new milestones, continue to innovate, and outperform the competition due to their tireless efforts, and I could not be prouder,” Scott stated.

Fox News Channel dominated cable viewership in January, averaging 1.9 million total day viewers and securing its position as the most-watched network across all of cable.

ESPN followed in second place with an average of 1.6 million viewers, while no other network managed to surpass the one-million mark. Fox News’ continued ratings success underscores its strong audience loyalty and leadership in the cable news industry.

Fox News Channel dominated the key advertiser-coveted demographic of adults aged 25-54 in January, averaging 253,000 total day viewers—far surpassing CNN’s 80,000. The demographic performance was even more challenging for MSNBC, which averaged only 45,000 viewers, marking a steep 41% decline from January of the previous year.

In primetime, Fox News continued its stronghold with 353,000 demo viewers, significantly outpacing CNN’s 118,000 and MSNBC’s 63,000.

With an unparalleled track record of viewership dominance, Fox News continues to set new benchmarks in the cable news landscape.
