Jason Aldean and his wife

Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Kerr Aldean, recently took their show to a new level when they invited up-and-coming artist to join them onstage for an unforgettable performance of Miranda Lambert’s emotional hit, “Tin Man.” The surprise collaboration, which took place during one of Aldean’s highly anticipated concert dates, left the audience in awe of the raw emotion and powerful vocal delivery…

Although Jason Aldean spent nearly three decades in country music, the singer still remembered what it was like trying to break into the industry. Releasing hit songs like “The Truth”, “Don’t You Wanna Stay”, and “Fly Over States”, Aldean once had a dream of performing on stage. And having his parents support him throughout his journey, the singer eventually found his way to the spotlight. And always willing to help out other artists trying to make a name for themselves, Aldean recently shared the stage with a rising singer, Cay Aliese.

Not selling out arenas just yet, Aliese looked to entertain a crowd and showcase her love for country music. But to her surprise, Aldean and his wife, Brittany, sat in the audience. Brittany even requested a cover of Miranda Lambert’s hit song “Tin Man.” Although jumping at the chance to perform the song, Aliese watched as Aldean joined her for a duet.

While sharing the spotlight with Aliese, Aldean made sure that all eyes were on her. Only there to support her dream, the singer posted the video to her Instagram page. Explaining her connection with Aldean, she wrote, “I used to sneak jason aldean on the school bus and i sing his songs everyday on broadway. meeting them tonight was so sweet!”

Jason Aldean Didn’t Want To Write “Easy Songs”

Outside of his support for Aliese, Aldean watched his name take over headlines when he released his controversial song “Try That In A Small Town.” Receiving a great deal of backlash for the song, the country singer discussed his thoughts on the criticism several times. Recently, he sat down with Hook and Barrel to explain how the song came about.  “Our mentality was to be a little more mindful, writing songs that have a little more meat on the bone than just these sorts of easy songs that’ll get played on the radio that don’t really say a whole lot. We concentrate on writing songs that say something, whether that be about relationship stuff or, even ‘Try That in a Small Town.’”

With Aldean not wanting to write a controversial song, he promised, “I don’t think that song came about because we were trying to step out there and do something that really moved the needle. It was never intended to go in and specifically write something that was gonna stir the pot. It just came from a place of, this is on our mind. I’m 47 years old now, things change.”

Not backing down from supporting “Try That In A Small Town”, Aldean hit the road with his Highway Desperado Tour to help promote his 11th studio album.
