Angel Reese seemingly takes a swipe at WNBA rival Caitlin Clark in since-deleted post

Angel Reese seemingly took a swipe at fellow WNBA star Caitlin Clark in a since-deleted post on X.
After the Chicago Sky star and her team beat the New York Liberty Thursday, Reese took to social media to celebrate the win — with a little shade.
“and that’s on getting a WIN in a packed area (sic) not just cause of one player on our charter flight. 😘 #SKYTOWN,” she tweeted — and deleted — Thursday night.

The DC Power Football Club part-owner also referenced the league booking charter flights for their teams’ 2024 to 2025 season, which has been credited to Clark’s hype.
However, Reese could have been addressing Charles Barkley’s recent comments, when he said the WNBA player should be “thanking” Clark “for getting y’all ass private charters.”
“All the money and visibility she’s bringing to the WNBA,” the former NBA star said. “What she’s accomplished — give her her flowers. Stop being petty all you women out there … Caitlin Clark, thank you for bringing all that money and shine to the WNBA.”

Page Six has reached out to Clark for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Reese’s tweet also comes after several current and former NBA stars, including LeBron James and Barkley, have worshipped Clark for her impact on women’s basketball despite her team’s losing record.
“Don’t get it twisted! Don’t get it f–ked up,” the Los Angeles Lakers star, 39, said on his “Mind the Game” podcast Thursday.

Though Reese was criticized as being “classless” for the gesture, which Clark also did during her team’s Elite Eight victory over Louisville, she defended herself against the naysayers.

“All year, I was critiqued for who I was. I don’t fit the narrative, I don’t fit the box that y’all want me to be in. I’m too hood. I’m too ghetto,” she told reporters that April.
“Y’all told me that all year. But when other people do it, and y’all don’t say nothing.”
