Caitlin Clark sustains black eye from poke in face by DiJonai Carrington, shoots poorly in Fever loss

âObviously, she got me pretty good in the eye,â Clark told reporters. âI donât think it affected me. I got good shots, they didnât go down. Itâs a tough time for that to happen. Had three wide open in first half that I usually make. It didnât feel good when it happened but I donât think it affected me.â

Clark briefly went to the bench quickly after the Fever called a timeout, but she never left the game because of the eye poke.
While Clark didnât think the injury created an issue with her shooting, she shot just 23.5 percent from the field and put up just 11 points in her first WNBA Playoff game.
