An extraordinarily talented and popular musician, Karolina Protsenko, turned in a stunning violin cover performance of John Denver’s beloved classic, “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

The 1960s, 70s and 80s provided us with some of the best, most skilled singer-songwriters of all time. James Taylor, Bob Dylan, John Fogerty, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel were all at the top of their game during those decades. The music they produced has since become classics and is still listened to, covered and revered by many worldwide.

Another musician who belongs in that all-star, legendary group of musicians is the late John Denver. John could write simple but beautiful and memorable songs. With his songwriting ability, John could paint a vivid and beautiful picture in listeners’ minds. Who could ever forget “Annie’s Song,” “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” and “Rocky Mountain High?”

But as great as those songs are, without question, his most beloved song is “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” Even people who aren’t John Denver, country or folk music fans know all the words to that timeless tune. It’s a song that seems to be universally beloved.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Karolina gives “Take Me Home, Country Roads” a violin makeover. From the opening moments of her performance, everyone instantly knows what song it is and will likely find themselves adding in the words or, at the very least, humming along.
