The View fans are raising questions about Whoopi Goldberg’s absence from the panel in the days following Donald Trump’s inauguration.
This week on The View, fans couldn’t help but notice Whoopi Goldberg’s absence from the panel following Donald Trump’s January 20th inauguration.
Known for her candid and outspoken criticism of Trump, many viewers were eager to hear Goldberg’s perspective during the early days of Trump’s second term.
However, dedicated fans weren’t entirely caught off guard. On a recent episode of The View: Behind the Table podcast, Goldberg shared that she would be traveling to Paris this week, explaining her current absence.
When The View aired on January 21, co-host Joy Behar confirmed that Whoopi Goldberg would be absent due to another “work commitment.”
Goldberg herself previously explained, “I did a fashion layout for a company called Ami, and it really took off. They invited me to join their fashion show in Paris, so that’s where I’ll be this week.”
The actress shared her thoughts on beauty standards, saying, “I’ve faced so many comments throughout my career about how odd I look, questions like, ‘Why don’t you have eyebrows?’ or remarks about being weird-looking. It’s all tied to the perception of what beauty is and isn’t.”
Despite her temporary absence from The View, Goldberg assured fans she would return, even after Donald Trump’s second inauguration.
However, her time off caught some fans by surprise, sparking reactions on social media. One viewer asked, “Where is Whoopi in all of this???”
