Michael Bublé Brings the House Down with an Unstoppable Performance of ‘L-O-V-E’ at the America’s Got Talent Finale, Leaving Everyone Speechless and the Competition Shaking!

America’s Got Talent has hosted many great singers over the years, but you know it’s an extra special night when the one and only Michael Bublé makes an appearance! The Canadian star brought the house down with a feel-good version of Nat King Cole classic “L-O-V-E”, backed up by a hellaciously swinging band. Bublé had a big smile on his face throughout, and the cheeky vibe of his performance had the whole crowd on their feet and vibing!

Bublé dropped in to America’s Got Talent for the 2024 finale, and his performance was uploaded on YouTube on September 25, 2024. “L-O-V-E” is one of the trad pop star’s signature covers, and you can tell he really loves this tune, which always makes for an extra fun performance. The Music Man readers will know there were some great performances in the finals this year on Got Talent, but it must have been a daunting task for the other performers to share a bill with the Prince of Trad Pop!

Make sure to tune into the interview after the performance by Terry Crews, as Bublé showed off his signature dry wit and cracked up the judges. Fans really enjoyed hearing Bublé on America’s Got Talent and added comments such as “So many great classics that I only know thanks to Michael bringing them back into the mainstream” and “Michael can mesmerize his audiences and he is an incredible singer. I love him on any song!”

Bublé has scored a bag of Platinum records, but for me it’s always been about his live show. Bublé hits the mark live every time, with his signature golden voice and effortless way of commanding the stage. This time last year, the Canadian star dropped into the 46th Kennedy Center Honors to sing a sublime version of the Bee Gees’ ballad “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart,” with Barry Gibb right there in the audience.

“L-O-V-E” was written by Bert Kaempfert and Milt Gabler, with the former recording an instrumental version of the tune in 1964. Nat King Cole subsequently recorded the most notable version of the swing classic. He released “L-O-V-E” in September 1964 as the lead single from his final studio album of the same name. “L-O-V-E” was only a minor charting single for Cole upon its original release, as it peaked at 81 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, the song has grown in esteem in the years since, and it’s currently his second-most popular track on Spotify, with 281 million streams clocked up.
