Christian rapper Lecrae was sitting courtside in Atlanta as the Indiana Fever took on the Atlanta Dream, and Caitlin Clark made sure he got his money’s worth. Clark’s nasty ankle-breaker dribble move and layup left Lecrae with a look on his face that instantly became a meme on WNBA Twitter.
Rapper’s reaction to Caitlin Clark goes viral
“CAITLIN BEHIND THE BACK AND HE WAS GAGGED,” a fan posted on X, formerly Twitter, drawing nearly 400,000 views to the wicked behind-the-back crossover.
The rapper could be seen in the background of the video making a “stank face” that everybody could identify with when they saw the impressive dribble.
“had me doing the same reaction lmao,” typed a highly-liked comment under the post, while another emphasized, “you just dont see that every night. That was awesome ball.”
In the slow-motion shot, the WNBA All-Star left her tongue sticking out as she eyed the basket, reminding fans of Michael Jordan and her idol Kobe Bryant.
“But she can’t create her own shot,” joked one response on X, as flabbergasted by that narrative as Lecrae was by her tight handle. Clark ranks 10th in the WNBA in scoring with 18.0 points per game, leading all rookies. Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky is second with just 13.5 PPG.
How much do Caitlin Clark courtside seats cost?
Lecrae coughed up some big bucks to get his front row view of the Caitlin Clark show in Atlanta. Ticket prices for the Fever vs Dream game were a minumum of $296 on the secondary market.
Although there is no confirmed price for the tickets the rapper had, courtside seats for Caitlin Clark’s home WNBA debut ran up to $2,453, according to Gametime. They nearly went as high as $10,000 on the resale market for the game she broke the NCAA all-time scoring record at Iowa.
Four different teams have set all-time franchise attendance records when they played at home against Clark’s Fever. The Minnesota Lynx added their name to the list over the weekend, with 19,023 packed in to see Maya Moore’s jersey retired the same night they played Indiana.
The following game was the second time this season that the Atlanta Dream have set a new attendance record with Clark in town. 17,575 fans came out to see the rookie in June, but they squeezed in an extra 33 people to set a new record on Monday.
