Angel Reese Seemingly Breaks Her Silence After Getting Destroyed For Not Congratulating Cailtin Clark On Winning The WNBA Rookie Of The Year Award

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark

Just because Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky’s season is over doesn’t mean the drama has stopped. Recently, Caitlin Clark received 66 of 67 first-place votes for Rookie of the Year. The one vote she missed out on went to Reese.

After the reward was announced, Reese received a lot of backlash from fans for not congratulating Clark. Many saw it as a sign of disrespect between the two opponents.

However, it seems she has broken her silence surrounding the drama with a social media post on X.

Of course, that’s not precisely the response fans were looking for, considering it didn’t include an apology or acknowledgment of why many people were upset.

It started when the two met in the 2023 NCAA women’s basketball National Championship, which Reese and LSU won.

There was also a fair amount of showboating and rubbing it in the face of Clark from Reese. The tension between the two stars has only intensified now that they are in the WNBA.

Angel Reese Had An Amazing Rookie Year

Despite not winning the Rookie of the Year award, Reese still put up so many amazing numbers.

She broke the rookie record in total rebounds, beating the previous record by almost 50, and finished in the top five for all rookies in points, steals, and blocks.

It’s clear that if Clark had not had such a generational season this year, then that award would have been Reese’s for the taking.

Of course, that wasn’t the case, and the bitter rivalry between the two will only continue.
