On Sunday night the Philadelphia Eagles spanked the Kansas City Chiefs in a 40-22 victory that wasn’t even as close as the score indicated.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw two late touchdown passes to make the score more respectable, but even he knows his team was blown out on the biggest stage.

“Both [losses] sucked,” Mahomes said. “There’s no way around it. Anytime you lose a Super Bowl, it is the worst feeling in the world. They’ll stick with you the rest of your career. These will be the two losses that will motivate me to be even better the rest of my career, because you only get so few of these and you have to capitalize on these and they hurt probably more than the wins feel good.”

While Mahomes and the Chiefs were struggling on the field, his wife, Brittany, took to Instagram with a three-letter post: LIX.

Fans weren’t thrilled with the timing of the post from Mahomes, which came when the Chiefs were scoreless in the first half.

“This is what you are posting when the team is down 24-0 at halftime?” one fan questioned.

“AINT NO 3PEAT FOR YOUUUUUUU,” added another.

“I’m sorry but your husband can’t play football today,” offered a third.

“Girl your man is STRUGGLING tonight 😭,” added another.

“Karma came and put an end to the cheating chiefs. 😂😂😂😂 40-6 with 3 minutes left. 😂😂😂😂 Great job, Eagles!! I’m not even an Eagles fan but the whole country was tonight!!” added another.

Mahomes and the Chiefs will head into the offseason with a major question about the team’s offensive line – once again.
